Sales of existing homes showed a slight uptick in May, yet the reality remains grim. Many Americans are hesitant to enter a housing market plagued by exorbitant interest rates and inflated prices. This situation exemplifies the consequences of unchecked government intervention and the manipulation of monetary policy, which has led to an environment where ordinary citizens struggle to achieve the American dream of homeownership.

The rising costs of living and the burden of inflation highlight a failure in leadership, as government overreach continues to stifle growth. Instead of fostering conditions that allow for robust economic expansion, policymakers have chosen to sustain a system that benefits corporate elites while penalizing the average citizen. This is a clear violation of the fundamental values of fairness and opportunity.

In a free market system, prices should reflect genuine supply and demand. However, the current landscape seems engineered to favor the wealthy, leaving hard-working Americans in a precarious position. Homeownership should not be a privilege reserved for a select few; it must be accessible for every striving family. The consequences of neglecting personal responsibility and traditional values are evident, as more individuals find themselves unable to secure their financial future.

The rising tide of prices and the stagnation in housing sales underscore the urgent need for a return to foundational economic principles. We must resist the allure of corporate elitism and advocate for policies that prioritize the needs of the average American. The time has come to restore the sanctity of personal responsibility and ensure that prosperity is derived from true hard work, rather than from government handouts or corporate favors.

As we move forward, it is imperative that we hold our leaders accountable. They must prioritize the interests of the people over the whims of corporations. Only then can we hope to see a resurgence in home sales that reflects genuine demand, not the result of policies that protect the privileged few.
